Captain Blood was a game released in 1988 and was a direct inspiration for The Long Journey Home, a game that has been developed and published by Daedalic. Based on the concept of a crew of a space craft that was to make its maiden voyage at faster than light speeds to Alpha Centauri and back they end up being flung across the galaxy. The player must guide them back to Earth all while avoiding certain death at the hands of aliens and natural phenomena.
