Summary

Don't be fooled by God Eater 3's flashy, over the top visuals, you're about to enter a dark world. The Aragami, titanic beasts that exist only to consume, are ravaging the Earth. Mankind lives scattered in the ruins of civilisation, struggling to survive in the midst of terrifying monsters and shadowy organisations. The only people who can combat the Aragami are the God Eaters, warriors called upon to save humanity by wielding the God Arcs, special weapons powered by Oracle Cells that are the only things capable of hurting the Aragami. However, something is happening to the God Eaters and it might finally be time to break free from the cursed shackles that bind their souls.

God Eater 3 is an action RPG, but the focus is pretty squarely on the action part of that equation. Epic clashes against huge hulking monsters are what will keep you coming back for more, with combat finding an enjoyable balance between attacking, dodging and entering the powerful burst mode. Each weapon has its own unique tricks and special attacks and you'll quickly find your own rhythm as the battle gets going.

When you take down an Aragami it will leave materials for you to harvest, and putting together a powerful new blade using the crafting system is a big part of God Eater 3. There are numerous layers to customising your character and their weapons, with plenty of room for experimentation.

If you fancy something a bit different you can always hop online for a team-up, too.

All in all, God Eater 3 is a frenetic festival of hack 'n' slash RPG action with plenty of meat to keep fans happy.
