Summary

Games don't come much more ambitious than No Man's Sky. Arguably one of the most anticipated game of all time, it promises something truly epic in scope. Developer Hello Games has created an entire procedurally-generated galaxy for players to explore.

Explorers are dropped at random in this huge swathe of space and must make their way to the centre of the galaxy, a journey that could take anything from 30 hours to hundreds to complete, depending on how the player chooses to play.

Every star in the sky is a sun that you can visit. Every planet is somewhere you could land. Every planet's surface is different to the next. Every species is unique to its environment. You can find things that may never be seen by another player of the game, given how large it is. You might discover artefacts that give clues to the secrets of the universe, and it's up to you to decide whether to share them with your fellow players who are exploring the galaxy in parallel to you. Who knows - you might even find traces of those other intrepid explorers, because every player shares the same universe!

Danger is everywhere, and players will have to fight to survive in both dogfights and first-person combat on the surface of the worlds they visit. Not only will they have to fight, they'll also have to prepare by collecting precious materials and trading them for the ships, suits and equipment that they need on their journey.

In this game, not even the sky's the limit.
