Rochard - PC

It’s a hard life being a space miner. You spend your whole day digging tunnels through asteroids, living a lonely existence in the cold vacuum of space and risking your life for faceless corporations. For humble astro-miner John Rochard, you can add space pirates and alien artifacts to the list of occupational disadvantages.

For one day, Rochard discovers that his fellow miners have all gone missing, and that his fleet has been overrun by mean old galactic hijackers. He’s no slouch when it comes to combat though - using his wits and his mining tools, this ordinary bloke can hold his own. And in this side-scrolling shooter, you get to manipulate gravity in order to give Rochard a further advantage.

This is done by using the upgradable G-Lifter tool, which can lift and move heavy objects around the environment around him. As Rochard progresses through the game, you’ll be able to make him swing and jump, as well as propel him across huge distances - not to mention become a formidable opponent to his friend’s captors.

Rochard must fight and puzzle-solve his way to the bottom of a mystery surrounding the discovery of an ancient alien artifact. What could the space pirates want? What power does this object possess? Mine your way through Rochard to find out. more
