Summary
Based on the Song of Ice and Fire series of books by George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones: Genesis, from which the hit TV series also came, this PC title takes the rich history of Westeros and puts the whole thing under the gamer’s control. Over the space of a thousand years the player will vie for control of the seven kingdoms in this deep strategy game.
As with all games of this type, your military prowess will be tested to its limits. However, it's not all blood and battles as the player’s political abilities will also be brought to the forefront a they must skilfully connive, politic and fight their way to the top. A Game of Thrones: Genesis will throw players into the some of the largest events that shape the Kingdom of Westeros.
The intensely coloured graphics enable the third-person, 3D perspective to provide the player with several richly realised environment and locations within the realm of Westeros in which to vie for power…. and survival.
As well as an expansive single-player campaign with a story that has been overseen by Martin himself, Genesis also offers a multiplayer experience. Players must face off against real world enemies and crush them with the might of their armies or use diplomacy to win them over... then stab them in the back at the most opportune moment. It’s up to the player to decide when it is time for war or peace and the decisions that are made will either lead to the glory of the Iron Throne or the ignominy of defeat. Will they be captured and thrown into an oubliette?
