Even though NASCAR doesn’t get much television coverage in Europe, there’s no need to miss out of the driving action. Wouldn’t you rather dive into the driver’s seat than just being a passive spectator? With the level of realism in this title it’s too easy to get lost in it, don’t forget to breath and blink.
Are you ready to take on the best drivers in the world, and are you feeling skilled enough to win? There’s only one way to find out. One of the biggest improvements to the series is the artificial intelligence of the computer controlled racers. They try all kinds of different tactics to beat you. You even have to weave slightly so that they can’t gain passing momentum from being in your slipstream.
Being an officially licensed product has it’s advantages, all of the data in the game is completely accurate and reflective of the 2002 season. The driver’s are all here and more importantly all 23 tracks have been faithfully reproduced. The Daytona International Speedway, Kansas Motor Speedway, and Chicagoland Speedway are just waiting for you to rip them up. Plus there’s also a three mile fantasy track with 36 degrees of banking, imagine the top speed on that track. If you’re new to the game, Darrell Waltrip will help you learn the secrets of fast times.
