Summary

If you thought M&M’s were just your average confectionery treat, you'd be wrong. They’re so popular these days, they’ve got their own TV commercials, and now they’re muscling in on the games market.

Soon after the discovery of the talking candy, the world famous M&M manufacturing plant comes under siege, thanks to those nasty Minis. And guess what? It’s up to the infamous Red, Blue, Green and Yellow sweets to stop the madness. Although primarily an adventure game, Minis Madness does incorporate many typical platforming elements of play. Each of the playable M&M’s within the game has unique abilities that will help the player to overcome many of the game’s 2D obstacles. Special abilities include running, jumping, bouncing and spinning. Many areas of the game cannot be reached without efficient use of these powers. The bulk of the game takes place inside the warehouse in question, and is split into four main areas that include the Conveyor Packing Room and the Mixing Room. Since Minis Madness is quite a long game (in Game Boy terms) fans will be pleased to discover that a password option has been incorporated into the game. Passwords gained as the player progresses can then be used to continue at a later date.

Overall, Minis Madness is a light-hearted platform experience that isn’t too taxing on the brain. It’s not too easy and it’s not hard – it’s just fun. Enough said.
