I only got audio when I downloaded lo q video 1, it sounds just like Ocarina of time with all the japenese style yelping that Link does when he whacks stuff
tough luck fellas... i downloaded soem big codec pack that was recomended to me months ago for my naruto watching... and it seems to be workign for this as well... if i can find otu where i got itill let you all know.
it does sound basically like OoT... except there are helper monkeys... which worries me... after seeing monkey shines i dont trust em!
ohhh... i think it was this one actually... hope that link works... http://www.codecpack.com/ cheers! _______
so what if its just like ocarina of time its a whole new story with much much better visuals, control, more dungeons and the world is three times the size of ocarina of time as well as being much darker and looks to be probably the best game this gen
anyway no one seems to complain about the next gta, splinter cell or mgs for being similar to the next game why change the perfect formula nintendo tried that with wind waker and people went mental because it wasn't a "realistic" zelda like ocarina of time.
I got it to work perfectly. It does look like it's gameplay will be similar to OOT, but seeing how that is widely considered one of, if not, the best games ever, I don't think that's a bad thing. I also think that Nintendo is trying to put more focus on animals, as there were a decent bit of animals in just those two clips.
I find VideoLan does have some problems with the latest version of proprietary formats, such as WMV or Quicktime - I usually get audio and no video. However, it's pretty rare, making VLC the world's best multi-format video player.
There's a new beta version out at the above site.
Anyway, about these movies...
Xvid is an MPEG4 compliant codec - DivX and Xvid share the same roots, but DivX decided to go down the commercial root. Xvid remained open source. Windows Media Player9 should be able to handle it. Mine does and I don't recall installing (or WMP having downloaded) any Xvid codecs.
The WMV files are WMV3 encoded, which is also MPEG4 - but in a Microsoft proprietary wrapper (quel surpise!)
I chose these formats because they give the best quality vs. file size.
If there is a format you really, really think we should support for future videos, please let me know.
Ah. Shakey-Cam goodness. It reminds me of when I had my audio coverage on my site. o_O Our coverage of the Nintendo conference.. I recorded about ten minutes of stuff before the conference even started, it's drowned in crowd noise for most of it, you get to here me shoot down someone who hadn't seen the PS3 controller yet, diss Gran Crapismo 4, and then at the end of it.. proudly and openly weeping for joy over the new Legend of Zelda trailer. Then I got some reactions on the stuff at the show.. it sounds raw, unsterile, and real. Which is exactly what this Spong footage of Twilight Princess is: Raw, unsterile, and real. The way journalism is meant to be. Not processed, diced, sliced, and prepared for the masses. Straight up placed on the table so you -the reader- can eat it, enjoy it, and form your own damn opinion on it. Good stuff. See, this is why I read this site. No preprocessed crap.
Is it just me who smirked when i right-clicked and chose "save Link as..."?
Nope. Of course, The Legend of Zelda is like a DRUG to me, so.. I always smile when I see that. o_O There are only two things I love more than that series.
1. God 2. My Girlfriend.
Family, and country only get in the way of my playing The Legend of Zelda. :-P Girlfriend doesn't because nothing beats exploring a dungeon while snuggling. YAY!
